Graduate Quantity Surveyor
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor joining the commercial team, you will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyors in the management of commercial aspects of the project. The current workload is exciting, and you will be involved at all stages of several high value projects from initial calculations to the final figures. This is a great opportunity to develop your career, where you will be mentored by a Senior QS to ensure you develop the skills required to progress on your career path.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assisting with commercial management of project(s) and reporting to Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Procurement of Subcontractor Packages
- Measurement of project elements
- Assisting with the preparation of interim valuations and agreement of subcontractor accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of variations and detailed variation costings
- Attending site meetings as required
Requirements:
- A Quantity Surveying qualification.
- Good IT skills with competency using Cubit, Cost-ex or equivalent, Microsoft Word and Excel
- To have strong analytical skills and ability to present findings.
- To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate.
- A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
